Richie Brace

The Richie Brace is a specialized custom ankle foot orthotic (AFO) designed to treat complex and chronic conditions of the foot and ankle.

It has a lightweight and low-profile design to allow more freedom of movement and can fit most walking/running shoes. The Richie Braces are designed by using an impression plaster cast of the patient’s foot and lower leg.

Our podiatrists are trained effectively in prescribing and fitting Richie Braces to achieve the best results.

Richie Braces are used to treat the following conditions:

• Adult acquired flat foot deformities
• Tibialis posterior dysfunction and tendinopathy
• Lateral ankle instability
